Tech and automotive sectors see strategic shifts and AI-driven market movements

Major technology and automotive companies are undergoing strategic shifts and facing varied market evaluations. SAP SE plans to acquire Belgian work-intelligence specialist TechWolf by the fourth quarter of 2026 to integrate AI-driven skill and task analysis into its SuccessFactors software.

In the semiconductor and internet sectors, AMD has seen its price target raised to $700 by Stifel due to ongoing AI infrastructure demand, while Amazon has received a price target increase to $385 from Tigress Financial, citing an integrated AI ecosystem. Meta Platforms remains a focus for analysts; Jefferies maintains a ‘Buy’ rating despite challenges with its Muse AI agent, while Wells Fargo has set a higher $1,000 target.

Conversely, Expedia Group faces caution as Wells Fargo lowered its price target to $275, citing weakening US hotel demand. In the automotive sector, Porsche AG is deepening its partnership with Manthey Racing GmbH by increasing its stake to 67% to focus on exclusive motorsport and performance experiences.
