AMD releases Adrenalin 26. 8. 1 driver with Radeon RX 9050 support

AMD has released the Adrenalin 26. 8. 1 WHQL driver update, which introduces official support for the Radeon RX 9050 4 GB graphics card. This specific 4 GB variant is intended for OEM and entry-level configurations and will not be available as a standalone retail product.

Technical specifications for the RX 9050 4 GB reveal significant reductions compared to the 8 GB model. While it utilizes the same RDNA 4 Navi 44 platform and core clock speeds, the 4 GB version features a 64-bit memory bus (providing 144 GB/s bandwidth) and 16 MB of Infinity Cache, both of which are half the capacity of the 8 GB version.

The driver update also provides day-one optimizations and support for several upcoming titles, including Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy, STAR WARS Zero Company, and the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 Open Beta Early Access. Additionally, the release addresses various stability issues, such as launch failures for Marvel Rivals and Subnautica 2 on multi-adapter configurations using Radeon RX 7000-series or newer hardware.
