AMD Ryzen-powered mini PCs released by Minix and Aoostar

Several manufacturers are releasing mini PCs utilizing older but capable AMD Ryzen processors to balance performance and affordability.

Minix has unveiled the ZR535, which features the Ryzen 5 3501U quad-core chip with RX Vega 8 graphics. Designed for everyday media playback and light office work, the device includes dual Gigabit Ethernet ports, making it suitable for use as a basic NAS. It features a dual-fan cooling system and supports up to three displays. A version with 16GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD is priced at $529.

Additionally, the Aoostar Maco 6850H offers a workstation-grade experience in a small form factor. It utilizes the Ryzen 7 PRO 6850H processor and includes 24GB of soldered LPDDR5 memory. While the platform is from 2022, it provides high connectivity through dual 2.5 gigabit networking, two USB4 ports, and an OCuLink port for expanded potential.
