AMD, Supermicro, and MinIO target enterprise data pipeline bottlenecks

Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), Super Micro Computer, and MinIO are collaborating to address critical bottlenecks in enterprise data pipelines. Industry experts note that while artificial intelligence is advancing rapidly, organizations face significant hurdles because over 80% of enterprise data is unstructured, and approximately 99% of that data remains inaccessible to AI due to a lack of simple querying solutions.

Varun Selvaraj, AMD’s enterprise AI business development lead, stated that modern clients are shifting their focus from computing power to data movement efficiency. As infrastructure struggles to scale with the massive volumes of unstructured data required for AI, the industry is seeing a transition toward data lakehouse architectures and improved interoperability to ensure consistent and governed data access.
