AMD unveils 22% Zen 6 CPU boost and 8‑frame GPU update

Early benchmarks of AMD's upcoming Zen 6 “Medusa Point” processor, a 10‑core chip that mixes Zen 6 and Zen 6c cores, show a 22 % single‑core performance increase over the current Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 and strong multi‑core scores. The CPU is slated for release in 2027, and AMD has also reduced the price of its Radeon RX 9070 GRE graphics card by 9 % to €499.

Separately, AMD has quietly shipped a software update that exposes new options for its FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR) technology, including “FSR Multi Frame Generation Override” and a “Ratio” setting. The hidden feature could enable an 8‑frame generation mode—seven additional frames per native frame—potentially raising frame rates dramatically, though it may also increase latency, especially at lower base frame rates.
