Amedeo Tecchio curates Europe’s largest Star Wars collection

Amedeo Tecchio, a 65-year-old resident of Marola near Vicenza, Italy, has amassed Europe’s largest collection of Star Wars memorabilia. The collection, housed in a 450-square-meter space named ‘Yodas Spelunke,’ contains over 15,000 items.

The collection includes a wide variety of objects, such as unopened cereal boxes and toothpaste packaging featuring Chewbacca, pinball machines, board games, and sand from the film’s desert filming locations. A central highlight is a protected display case containing toys from the original film era between 1977 and 1983. Tecchio, who began collecting using savings from his work as a DJ, traces his passion back to seeing the original film in a Vicenza cinema in 1977.
