Amelia Dimoldenberg says she'd welcome a chat with Prime Minister Andy Burnham
YouTube creator Amelia Dimoldenberg, known for her dead‑pan interview series Chicken Shop Date, told the BBC she would not invite new Prime Minister Andy Burnham onto the show, but she would love to have a conversation with him. She described Burnham’s strategy of courting social‑media influencers as a positive way to reach the public, adding, “because that is now where so many people get their news.”
Dimoldenberg also highlighted her free summer programme, the Dimz Inc. Academy, which she relaunched for a second year. The four‑week course offers paid placements and mentoring for 18‑ to 24‑year‑olds, aiming to address the NEET (not‑in‑education‑employment‑training) crisis in the UK.
