Amer Fort: Historical significance and architecture of the Rajasthan landmark

Amer Fort, located approximately 11 kilometers from Jaipur in the Aravalli Hills, remains a significant historical landmark in Rajasthan. Originally constructed in the 16th century by Raja Man Singh I of the Kachwaha Rajput clan, the fort underwent various expansions by subsequent rulers, including Raja Jai Singh I.

The fort is noted for its blend of Rajput and Mughal architectural styles. Key features include the Sheesh Mahal (Mirror Palace), known for its intricate mirror work, the Diwan-e-Aam, the Diwan-e-Khas, and the Ganesh Pol entrance.
