America 250 Community Quilt Project launches national tour

A national quilt project has been launched to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the United States. Initiated by a fiber artist from Ithaca, New York, the project invites participants from across the country to contribute quilt squares that reflect their interpretations of American identity and diverse narratives.

The America 250 Community Quilt Tour has begun, with the Rowan Public Library South Branch in China Grove, North Carolina, hosting a collection of squares. This specific installment features 54 squares contributed by 30 participants, depicting themes such as North Carolina wildlife, landscapes, and local culture.
