America East men's soccer conference play begins

The America East Conference men's soccer season opened with results for NJIT, Binghamton, UAlbany, and the University of New Hampshire.

NJIT secured a 2-1 victory over Binghamton. After falling behind to a Marcus Nahim goal in the 25th minute, NJIT equalized through Jake Rubis in the 44th minute. Luan Lazoja scored the winning header in the 56th minute following a corner kick from Itay Soffer. The win moves NJIT to a 1-0-0 record in conference play.

In another conference matchup, UAlbany defeated the University of New Hampshire 2-0. Luca Clausse scored both goals for the Great Danes, finding the net in the 43rd minute and again shortly after the start of the second half. The loss leaves New Hampshire with a 0-1-0 conference record.
