American Airlines introduces cash and miles flight booking

American Airlines is introducing a new feature for its AAdvantage loyalty program that allows members to combine cash and miles when booking flights. The rollout will occur over the coming weeks via the airline’s website and digital app. During checkout, members will be able to use a slider to select a specific combination of miles and cash to cover the cost of their tickets.

In other loyalty program updates, Bilt has announced it will reduce its Hyatt transfer ratio from 1:1 to 4:3, effective January 1, 2027. This move follows a similar change previously implemented by Chase. Additionally, Choice Privileges has introduced a feature allowing members to share points with friends and family at no cost.
