American Airlines to launch Nice–New York direct flights in 2027

American Airlines has announced the launch of a new daily direct flight service between Nice Côte d’Azur Airport and New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport, scheduled to begin on May 6, 2027. The seasonal route will utilize the Airbus A321XLR aircraft, configured with 155 seats.

This new service expands the airline's presence in the region, joining its existing Nice to Philadelphia route established in 2024. The addition brings the total number of long-haul flights from Nice to North America to ten. According to Franck Goldnadel, Chairman of the Board of Aéroports de la Côte d’Azur, the move reflects the growing appeal of the French Riviera to the North American market.

Reservations for the new route are already open, with economy class round-trip fares starting at approximately 680 euros and premium options reaching nearly 2,700 euros.
