American Conference announces weekly volleyball honors

American Conference volleyball weekly accolades college athletics student-athletes

The American Conference has announced its weekly volleyball accolades. Sydney Marshall, a junior setter for the University of Memphis, was named the conference Setter of the Week. Marshall recorded 91 assists across nine sets over the weekend, including 41 assists in a victory against UAB and 50 assists against Tulane.

Paula Tomasa of the University of South Florida earned the Freshman of the Week award. Tomasa recorded 21 kills and a kills-per-set average of 3.50, highlighted by a match-high 13 kills during a sweep of Rice. Additionally, Nina Jioshvili-Ravva received an honorable mention for her performance, recording 64 assists for the week.
