American Eagle flight declares fuel emergency after storm diversions

An American Eagle flight, operated by Envoy Air, declared a fuel emergency on Tuesday after severe thunderstorms forced multiple failed landing attempts. The Embraer E175, traveling from Dallas Fort Worth to Lexington, Kentucky, was forced to divert to Louisville due to poor visibility caused by heavy storms.

After two unsuccessful landing attempts at Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport, the aircraft's fuel reserves were significantly depleted. Air traffic controllers directed the crew to Evansville Regional Airport in Indiana, where the aircraft landed safely with approximately 30 minutes of usable fuel remaining.
