American Express introduces new rewards and card updates

American Express is introducing various promotional offers and card updates across different markets. In the United States, a new Apple Pay Amex offer allows eligible cardholders to receive a $10 statement credit after making three qualifying purchases through Apple Pay. This offer is valid at in-store and in-app merchant locations within the US, Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Islands, provided the transactions are made using an enrolled card.

In Malaysia, Maybank has unveiled a refreshed American Express Gold Charge Card featuring a new rose gold design. The revamped card includes enhanced lifestyle benefits, such as 10% cashback on selected streaming services like Netflix, Spotify, and Disney+, as well as movie tickets and certain Grab transactions. Additionally, the card offers increased Membership Rewards points for overseas spending, providing three points for every RM1 spent abroad compared to two points for local spending. Membership Rewards points earned through this card do not expire.
