American Express launches new Amazon and Accor hotel discount offers

American Express has introduced a limited‑time discount for its cash‑back cardholders on Amazon purchases. Eligible cards can use Reward Dollars to receive a 50 % discount, up to a maximum of $80 off eligible items, with the promotion ending when either the deadline of 5 p.m. PT on 31 August 2026 is reached or 52,608 customers have redeemed the offer.

The company also rolled out an Amex Offers promotion for stays at select Accor luxury brands, including Raffles, Fairmont, SLS, Sofitel and Legend. Guests who spend $500 or more on qualifying room charges between 3 August and 2 November 2026 can save $100 (up to 20 % back). The offer applies to bookings made directly with Accor in the United States and other designated locations, and excludes ancillary services such as spa, golf, or dining.

Both promotions require activation through the Amex Offers platform and are limited to eligible cards and transactions.
