American Express limits Resy Credit eligibility for US restaurants from Aug 1, 2026

Effective August 1, 2026, American Express will require that U.S. restaurants, wineries, cafes and other food‑and‑beverage venues be explicitly marked as eligible on the Resy app or website for Platinum and Gold cardholders to receive the Resy Credit. Until then, any establishment listed on Resy qualified for the credit.

The new labeling creates a separate, changeable list of qualifying venues, giving Amex greater control and likely reducing the number of restaurants where the credit can be used.

Cardholders will need to verify eligibility at the time of purchase rather than assuming any Resy listing qualifies.
