American Express rolls out $100 cruise credit and up to 50% Amazon discount promotions
American Express is offering a limited‑time $100 statement credit to cardholders who spend at least $500 on a Carnival Cruise Line reservation. The credit is applied after the purchase and the offer expires on 2 June 2026. Separate bonuses apply to luxury cruise brands Oceania, Regent Seven Seas and Seabourn: cardholders earn five extra Membership Rewards points per dollar spent, up to a total of 50,000 points, with each brand’s promotion ending between late May and early June 2026.
In a parallel promotion, eligible American Express members can link their Membership Rewards account to Amazon and redeem points for discounts on eligible Amazon purchases. Targeted offers vary: some members receive 50 % off (up to $80) by redeeming 714 points, others get 40 % off (up to $40) with 1,429 points, and a smaller tier provides 15 % off (up to $15) for the same point amount. The discount applies only to items sold and shipped by Amazon and requires the cardholder to select an Amex card at checkout.
