American Feed Industry Association appoints Abigail Tierney as global policy manager

The American Feed Industry Association (AFIA) has appointed Abigail Tierney as its new manager of global policy. In this capacity, Tierney will represent the US animal food industry in domestic and international trade discussions, analyze global trade trends, and advocate for science-based regulations to reduce non-tariff barriers.

Tierney joins the AFIA with extensive experience in trade policy and regulatory affairs, having previously held roles at the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the USDA's Foreign Agricultural Service. Her background includes representing the United States on the environmental policy committee of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).
