American Film Market announces inaugural Global Screen Economy Summit
The American Film Market (AFM) has announced the launch of its inaugural New Global Screen Economy Summit, scheduled to begin on November 10. The summit is part of the AFM’s 47th edition, which will take place from November 10–15 at various locations in Los Angeles, including the Fairmont Century Plaza.
The summit aims to address the fundamental transformations within the content industry, focusing on evolving business models, the creator economy, new intellectual property sources, and the changing studio system. A key session on the opening day will examine a proposed federal production tax incentive in the United States, featuring industry leaders such as Steven Paul of SP Media Group and Josh Rogin of the MPA.
The event will feature more than 45 sessions across three stages, including the newly introduced AFM House Stage. The programming is designed to bring together executives, innovators, and creators from the entertainment, technology, and finance sectors to discuss the future of storytelling and content distribution.
