The American Gas Association (AGA) promotes natural gas as a cost‑saving energy source during August’s National Family Fun Month. It notes that households using natural gas for heating, cooking and clothes drying save an average of $1,030 per year compared with electric alternatives. AGA also points to the extensive U.S. pipeline network—about 2.8 million miles of underground lines—that delivers natural gas to communities nationwide, supporting homes, hotels and hospitality businesses.

By emphasizing lower energy costs and reliable service, the association suggests that families can enjoy activities such as cookouts, road trips and visits to attractions while keeping budgets in check. The messaging is aimed at encouraging continued consumer reliance on natural gas throughout the final weeks of summer.
