American man wanted in Idaho detained in Cancun

Authorities in Cancun, Quintana Roo, have detained an American citizen, identified as Evans “N”, who was wanted in Idaho for methamphetamine distribution. The arrest followed an investigation and information sharing between international agencies.

Evans “N” was initially taken into custody for failing to provide proof of legal status in Mexico. During the operation, which involved the Transnational Crimes Unit, the State Police Investigation Directorate, and the Mexican Navy, officials confirmed the active arrest warrant from the United States. The individual has been handed over to the National Migration Institute (INM) to proceed with immigration and extradition processes.
