American missionary charged with sexual misconduct in Haiti
American missionary Maylon Foshee is scheduled to appear in federal court on October 12 following charges of illicit sexual conduct with minors in Haiti. Foshee, a 23-year-old from Louisiana, is accused of sexually abusing children while working with Agape Ministries in Gonaïves between 2023 and 2025.
According to an FBI affidavit, the investigation began after a complaint was filed in March 2026. Investigators allege that Foshee abused minors who lived with him or received educational and financial support through his ministry. Foshee, who gained a significant social media following by documenting his missionary work and fluency in Creole, faces up to 30 years in federal prison if convicted under federal laws prohibiting sexual conduct with minors in a foreign country.
