American newlyweds to visit Croatia following World Cup wedding celebration

Ashton and Zach Smith, an American couple from Philadelphia, are traveling to Croatia in early October. The newlyweds gained attention when their wedding during the World Cup in the United States turned into a spontaneous celebration with Croatian fans.

Organized by the Croatian Tourist Board with support from the Croatian Fans Embassy ‘Mi Hrvati’ (CFE) and various regional tourism boards, the trip aims to showcase Croatian culture, gastronomy, and hospitality. The couple will arrive in Split on October 4, where they plan to attend a Nations League match between Croatia and Spain at Poljud Stadium.

Following their stay in Split and the surrounding islands, the itinerary includes Dubrovnik and concludes in Zagreb on October 12 before they return to Philadelphia.
