American Red Cross launches donor incentives to combat blood shortages

The American Red Cross is launching a series of promotional incentives to address low blood and platelet supplies following severe shortages over the summer.

Donors contributing blood or platelets through September 20 can receive an exclusive Red Cross/Hello Kitty plush mascot clip and sticker pack. From September 21 to October 18, the organization is offering a $15 e-gift card for donors. Additionally, between September 21 and September 30, eligible donors who mention “pickleball” to staff can receive a custom Red Cross pickleball paddle and ball set, while supplies last.
