Americana woman arrested for fatal stabbing of husband

A teacher was arrested after allegedly killing her husband, Michel Serra Begali, with 54 knife wounds in a gym parking lot in Americana, São Paulo. The incident occurred on Sunday in the presence of the couple’s 12-year-old daughter.

Police arrived at the scene following a report of an assault. They found Begali on the ground with extensive injuries to his back and neck. Although he was transported to a local urgent care unit, he was pronounced dead by medical staff. The suspect was located inside the gym with visible blood on her clothing and appeared to be in a state of distress.

Investigations revealed that the wife had previously requested a protective order against her husband in August, but she withdrew the request less than two weeks later. Authorities seized a knife and a mobile phone at the scene, and the minor daughter is expected to provide a special testimony to investigators.
