Americans Doubt White House Transparency on Donald Trump's Health

A Quinnipiac University poll found that 59% of American voters think the White House is not being transparent about President Donald Trump's health, while only 34% say it is. Roughly half of respondents doubt his physical fitness and 51% question his mental health.

Trump, who turned 80, has repeatedly asserted he is in excellent condition. His physician, Sean P. Barbabella, said a recent checkup showed normal cardiac, pulmonary, and neurological function and that Trump is fully fit for duty. Public concern is heightened by images of bruises on his hand and alleged dozing during public events.
