America's Got Talent season 21 judges' callbacks and remote auditions recapped

NBC's America’s Got Talent continued its season 21 with judges adapting to COVID-19 protocols. Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, Sofia Vergara, Mel B and host Terry Crews judged acts via video feeds while maintaining social distance, using X signs instead of traditional buzzers.

The show introduced a new Judges’ Callbacks round, giving acts an extra chance to reach the live finals. Golden Buzzers were still available, allowing each judge to send two acts straight to the live shows. Highlights included Barrio Dance Factory’s energetic choreography, Godfrey Daniels’ clown routine, and beatboxer Vahtang from Georgia, who impressed multiple judges. Judges offered mixed feedback, with some acts receiving unanimous approval and others being buzzed off.

Both episodes featured a mix of singers, dancers, magicians and novelty acts, with the panel’s reactions ranging from enthusiastic praise to critical skepticism as they navigated the remote format and the new competition stage.
