Multiple major fires and explosions reported across the Netherlands

Several major fires and an explosion have been reported across different locations in the Netherlands.

In Amersfoort, an explosion and subsequent fire destroyed the front of a residence on Soerendonk. Police are investigating the incident and are searching for two suspects who fled the scene on a fatbike toward Park Schothorst.

A large fire broke out in an apartment complex on Koning Willem-Alexanderlaan in Oosterhout during the early hours of the morning. The blaze caused heavy smoke, leading to a GRIP 1 escalation and the evacuation of dozens of residents. Emergency services used aerial platforms to rescue people from balconies, and temporary shelter was arranged at the Oosterhout town hall.

In Rotterdam, a significant fire occurred at a restaurant on Nieuwe Binnenweg. The fire, which produced heavy black smoke visible from several districts, may have originated from an extraction system. The street was closed to traffic, and while four people were treated by paramedics, no hospitalizations were reported.
