Amethi nursing student found dead in hostel room

A nursing student, identified as 21-year-old Deepti Yadav, was found dead in her hostel room at the Indira Gandhi School and College of Nursing in the Munshiganj area of Amethi, Uttar Pradesh.

Yadav, a final-year GNM student originally from Sultanpur, was found hanging from a ceiling fan by a dupatta. Her family reported that she had spoken to them normally via telephone around 11:00 AM on the day of the incident, mentioning her upcoming exams.

The family has rejected the possibility of suicide, alleging that she was murdered and her body was subsequently staged to look like a hanging. They have also expressed grievances regarding police conduct, claiming the body was sent for autopsy before they could arrive at the scene. Local police and forensic teams have inspected the site and collected evidence, including the student's mobile phone, to determine the exact cause of death.
