Amex GBT and Women Travel Abroad announce leadership and expansion moves
American Express Global Business Travel (Amex GBT) has appointed Dan Beauchamp as vice president of Global Strategic Meetings. Beauchamp will lead strategy, growth, and customer experience, focusing on business development and expanding the company’s global meetings footprint. This leadership change follows the September 29 acquisition of Amex GBT by Long Lake Management in an all-cash transaction valued at approximately $6.3 billion, which transitioned the company to private ownership.
Separately, US-based tour operator Women Travel Abroad (WTA) is expanding its international presence under CEO Katherine Butler-Dines. Following Butler-Dines’s acquisition of the Cincinnati-based company in September 2024, WTA aims to nearly double its business, targeting approximately 300 travelers across 29 itineraries in 2026. The expansion responds to a growing global demand for women-only solo travel experiences.
