AMF warns of rising scams using fake media identities

The Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) has issued a warning regarding an increase in fraudulent schemes targeting savers. Scammers are using fake news articles that impersonate well-known French media outlets, such as Le Monde, Le Figaro, France Info, and TF1, to gain credibility.

These fraudulent articles often feature false statements from prominent figures in politics, sports, and economics to promote a deceptive trading platform called BitKeltTrade. The platform claims to use artificial intelligence to generate rapid wealth, often promising returns in a single month that exceed annual bank savings. Some scams even falsely claim to be part of a government program supervised by the AMF. The primary goal of these sites is to trick users into clicking links and providing contact information to join the fraudulent platform.
