Amfar to host event celebrating rural women in Ciudad Real

The Federation of Women and Families in Rural Environments (Amfar) will hold an event in Ciudad Real on October 30 to mark World Rural Women's Day. Under the theme ‘Every woman, a story’, the gathering aims to highlight the professional trajectories of 17 women across various sectors, including agriculture, business, sports, and public representation.

The event features a panel of experts such as livestock farmers, entrepreneurs, and writers who will discuss overcoming barriers and creating opportunities in rural areas. The keynote speaker will be Cristina Sánchez, a historic figure in bullfighting. The program includes thematic discussions on generational shifts in farming, the challenges and opportunities within the wine industry, and perspectives from European Parliament members.
