Amfilochia–Lefkada National Road Closed for Water Main Work, Traffic Limited June‑August 2026

Temporary traffic measures will be enforced on the Amfilochia‑Lefkada National Road between the kilometre markers 69+450 and 69+500 from Friday 26 June to Tuesday 18 August 2026. The restrictions support the construction of a well and pressure‑testing of a 50‑metre segment of the main water‑supply pipe serving the Agios Nikolaos area.

During the period the road lane width will be narrowed and speed limits reduced. Work will occur daily from 07:00 to 19:00, excluding Sundays and public holidays. The contractor TERNA A.E. is tasked with implementing safety measures and installing the required signage under the relevant road‑traffic regulations, while the Aetolia‑Acarnania police will enforce compliance. Drivers are urged to follow the temporary signs and exercise caution.
