AMI Awards 2026: Lesti Kejora and Afgan secure major wins

The 2026 Anugerah Musik Indonesia (AMI) Awards, held in Jakarta under the theme “Ruang Nada Nusantara,” recognized several prominent musicians. Lesti Kejora won the award for Best Female Solo Dangdut Singer. Following her victory, she expressed an openness to exploring new musical genres, such as hip-dut, citing her father's advice to remain adaptable within the arts industry.

In the Soul/R&B category, soloist Afgan won Best Solo Soul/R&B Artist for his song “Kacamata” from the album Retrospektif. This marks his first win in this specific category during his 18-year career. He noted that R&B was the genre that originally inspired his passion for music.
