Ami Otsuka releases AI-driven business strategy book

Shinchosha has released a new book by Ami Otsuka titled ‘I Outsourced Everything to AI: Before I Knew It, I Was a 24-Year-Old Entrepreneur Living in an Overseas Hotel’. The book details the author's journey from a struggling university student with a 0.9 GPA to a successful entrepreneur and software engineer living in Bangkok, Thailand.

The core concept presented is ‘Director Thinking,’ a method where individuals treat generative AI as a highly efficient subordinate. Instead of focusing on manual labor or learning complex technical foundations, the author advocates for defining a goal and using AI to execute the processes, with the human role limited to setting objectives and making final judgments.

Otsuka, the representative of Hundreds LLC, emphasizes minimizing learning costs by ‘inspecting the AI while it runs’ rather than studying from scratch. Her approach focuses on using simple, direct instructions to achieve results with minimal effort, a strategy she utilized to win third place in the Shipaton 2025 international hackathon hosted by RevenueCat.
