Amici 26 introduces new format and artistic managers
The Italian talent show Amici 26 is introducing a significant format overhaul for its upcoming season. The traditional role of “professors” is being replaced by six “artistic managers” who will act as mentors to provide both technical and emotional support to contestants.
The new faculty includes Rudy Zerbi, Amadeus, and Samurai Jay for the singing category, while the dance category will feature Lorella Cuccarini, Alessandra Celentano, and newcomer Ambra Angiolini. The program has also expanded its scope to include a sports discipline track, featuring judo and boxing, where athletes like India and Gabriele will compete against external challengers to maintain their place in the school.
Following recent recordings at the Elios studios in Rome, 25 students have secured initial spots, though their permanent status remains subject to further evaluations. The new season is scheduled to premiere on Canale 5 on Sunday, October 11.
