Amici talent show faces claims of host influence
Former acting teacher Patrick Rossi Gastaldi has shared insights regarding the inner workings of the Italian talent show ‘Amici’. In an interview, Gastaldi, who taught on the program for eight years, claimed that host Maria De Filippi often determines the eventual winner by the midpoint of the season. He suggested that De Filippi exerts significant influence over the judging process, alleging that professors were sometimes instructed to align their grading with her preferences.
Separately, the official ‘Amici’ social media accounts shared a response to dancer Emiliano Fiasco. Fiasco, a participant from the most recent edition, expressed gratitude to De Filippi as he prepares to move to France to study at the Pôle National Supérieur de Danse Rosella Hightower. Fiasco noted that the opportunities provided by the program were instrumental in helping him reach this prestigious academic milestone.
