Şamil Tayyar criticizes AKP and MHP alliance

Former AKP Member of Parliament Şamil Tayyar has voiced significant criticism regarding the current state of the ruling coalition. Tayyar noted an increasing “culture of objection” within the AKP base, suggesting that supporters are becoming more vocal against perceived abuses of power and arbitrary decision-making.

Addressing the relationship between the AKP and the MHP, Tayyar stated that the two parties share a “partnership in sin” as much as a “partnership in merit.” He argued that because of their close cooperation over the last decade, negative reactions toward the government are being attributed to both parties, and the ability for voters to move between them has effectively stalled.
