Amil's Total Care spends over R$6 million on hospital upgrades and expands robotic surgery training

Amil's Total Care network invested more than R$6 million to modernize the Hospital de Clínicas de Jacarepaguá (HCJ). The project upgraded surgical and inpatient areas, renewed equipment, added an outdoor patient‑visitor space and refreshed the building’s façade, boosting the unit’s capacity and operational efficiency.

At Hospital Paulistano in São Paulo, Total Care opened a branch of the Edson Bueno Center to train surgeons in robotic procedures using the Da Vinci system. The initiative aims to increase robotic surgery capacity, with 21 prostatectomies performed in 2025 and a target of three to four procedures per day. Around 40 patients are awaiting approval for surgery, and the program includes theoretical courses, simulators and hands‑on training to certify physicians in minimally invasive robotic techniques.
