Amin Chiakha leads Eliteserien scoring and enters Golden Shoe top 10

Rosenborg striker Amin Chiakha has continued his prolific form in the Norwegian Eliteserien, scoring in a 3-1 victory against Kristiansund. The 20-year-old Algerian international has now recorded 14 goals for his club, 13 of which have come in league play, placing him as the league's top scorer.

Chiakha's recent performance, which includes scoring in nine of his last ten appearances, has also placed him within the top ten of the European Golden Shoe rankings for the 2026-2027 season. Due to the advanced stage of the Scandinavian season and the 1.5 coefficient applied to the Norwegian league, he currently holds 19.5 points. He sits behind leaders such as FC Barcelona's Raphinha, who has accumulated 24 points through the early stages of the Spanish league.

In addition to his scoring, Chiakha has contributed three assists this season, making him one of the most decisive players in Norway. His current form is expected to bolster his standing with the Algerian national team.
