Amina Orfi and Diego Elias win Egyptian Open squash titles

Amina Orfi and Diego Elias secured their first CIB Egyptian Open titles at the Diamond-level tournament in Cairo, held against the backdrop of the Giza Pyramids. Both victories also made them the first players to qualify for the 2026/27 PSA Squash Tour Finals.

In the women’s final, 19-year-old World No. 1 Amina Orfi maintained her unbeaten season start, winning 14 consecutive matches after a dominant performance against World No. 2 Hania El Hammamy. The victory extended Orfi’s lead at the top of the leaderboard by over 3,000 points.

In the men’s division, World No. 3 Diego Elias defeated defending champion Mostafa Asal in a five-game match (5:11, 11:5, 11:6, 7:11, 11:6). The Peruvian player, who previously became the first South American squash world champion, expressed pride in winning at such an iconic location.
