Amir Jenkins progresses after two shoulder surgeries, WVU coach says

West Virginia University sophomore guard Amir Jenkins is recovering from two offseason shoulder surgeries. He had surgery on his left shoulder shortly after the season ended and underwent surgery on his right shoulder on July 1. Coach Ross Hodge said Jenkins is making good progress in range of motion and strength, moving toward non‑contact work and eventually full contact.

Jenkins played most of the 2025‑26 season with a torn labrum in his left shoulder and tore the right labrum in a game against TCU. He averaged 3.4 points, 2.1 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 32 games as a freshman. He has four years of eligibility remaining, though no exact timetable for his return has been set.
