Amir Rrahmani, captain of the Kosovo national football team and defender for Napoli, has announced his retirement from international duty. After ten years with the national team, including seven as captain, Rrahmani stated he will not return as long as the current leadership of the Football Federation of Kosovo (FFK) remains in office.
Rrahmani cited a lack of competence within the federation and alleged that he has faced “continuous and coordinated attacks for more than two years from those who should have been protecting us.” He emphasized that his decision was necessary to preserve his personal and professional integrity.
In response to these developments, the law firm Hodaj & Partners has taken on Rrahmani’s legal representation. The firm announced that legal actions have been initiated against identified individuals within the FFK for alleged attacks, threats, insults, and damage to his reputation.
