Amit Mishra appointed Delhi Capitals spin-bowling coach

Delhi Capitals have appointed former Indian leg-spinner Amit Mishra as their spin-bowling coach for the IPL 2027 season. The move is part of a significant overhaul of the franchise's coaching staff.

Mishra, the franchise's all-time leading wicket-taker, joins a coaching panel that includes head coach Sourav Ganguly, assistant and batting coach Yuvraj Singh, and fast-bowling coach Chaminda Vaas. Mishra is expected to mentor young spinners such as Zeeshan Ansari, Vipraj Nigam, and Rehan Ahmed.

During his IPL career, Mishra played 162 matches and claimed 174 wickets. He is notably the only player to have recorded three IPL hat-tricks for three different teams. His international career with India included 68 matches across all formats, totaling 156 wickets.
