Amit Shah and leaders mark Hyderabad Liberation Day
Indian Union Home Minister Amit Shah and several other political leaders extended greetings to the people of Telangana, Hyderabad-Karnataka, and Marathwada on the occasion of Hyderabad Liberation Day.
In a social media post, Shah honored the bravery and patriotism of those who worked to overthrow the oppressive rule of the Nizam and the Razakars to unite the region with India. He also paid tribute to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for independence.
Other leaders, including Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Maurya, highlighted the decisive role of India’s first Home Minister, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, in facilitating the merger of Hyderabad into the Indian Union. Leaders noted that the day serves as a symbol of national unity and integrity.
