Amitabh Bachchan on work demands, disciplined routine and new projects

Veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan posted a blog on July 31, apologising for its delayed publication because work commitments interfered with his usual schedule. In the entry he stressed that a disciplined routine maximises mental efficiency and that disruptions lead to irregularities that take time to adjust.

He also addressed recent fan speculation about his health after a previous blog mentioned a hospital, surgery and ICU, clarifying that the references were metaphorical and not about his own condition, likening the discussion to Lionel Messi’s response to Argentina’s World Cup final loss.

Bachchan confirmed he will return as host of Kaun Banega Crorepati Season 18, which premieres on August 10, and will reprise his role as the immortal warrior Ashwatthama in the sequel to Nag Ashwin’s film Kalki 2898 AD.
