Amitabh Bachchan praises Uttar Pradesh Police anthem ‘Khaki Ka Sitara’

Actor Amitabh Bachchan has publicly praised ‘Khaki Ka Sitara’, the first official anthem of the Uttar Pradesh Police. In a post on X, Bachchan compared police officers to stars that shine on the ground through their service.

The anthem was officially launched by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath at Lok Bhavan in Lucknow. The production features vocals and music by Shankar Mahadevan, lyrics by Alok Shrivastava, and a voice rendition by Bachchan. The project was conceptualized and creatively directed by Rahul Srivastav, an IPS officer and PRO for the UP Police.

Developed as an in-house creative production over the course of more than a year, the anthem’s footage depicts various police duties, including law and order, women’s safety, traffic management, and disaster relief operations. The full 6.5-minute version was released on YouTube following its initial launch.
