Amity University hosts TRACE 2026 civil engineering conference
Amity University Noida is hosting the 6th Edition of the International Conference on ‘Trends and Recent Advances in Civil Engineering (TRACE 2026)’ on October 7–8, 2026. The event covers various research areas, including structural engineering, energy, environment, geomatics, water resources, and transportation engineering.
Speakers at the conference emphasized the integration of advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, robotics, drones, and remote sensing to develop resilient and sustainable infrastructure. Dr. Manish Gupta noted that while these tools are vital, they cannot replace human thinking, and engineers must remain responsible for structural safety.
Discussions also focused on environmental conservation, with Nalin Kumar Srivastava of the National Mission for Clean Ganga highlighting the need for technological interventions in water resource management to protect rivers from pollutants. Additionally, Prof. Bhola NS Ghimire of Tribhuvan University was awarded an Honorary Professorship during the event.
