AMK criticizes Deputy PM Ahmad Zahid Hamidi over government policy critiques

The youth wing of the People's Justice Party (AMK) has criticized UMNO President and Deputy Prime Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi for publicly criticizing government decisions. Danish Hairudin, AMK's Chief of Information, stated that as a member of the Cabinet, Zahid is bound by the principle of collective responsibility under the Federal Constitution.

According to AMK, any disagreements regarding government policies, such as the BUDI95 petrol subsidy program, should be raised during Cabinet meetings rather than being voiced publicly after decisions are finalized. Hairudin argued that Zahid's recent remarks at the UMNO General Assembly, which included criticisms of the administration's economic policies and views on educators, create confusion among the public and suggest a lack of unity within the government.

Furthermore, AMK dismissed claims that UMNO could govern more effectively than the current administration, citing past issues involving 1MDB, Tabung Haji, and Felda as cautionary examples.
